Big brands speak volumes in deal for HPE Africa

Breaking ground on a new limestone quarry during 2009 will be Admar Damiao, a company keenly involved in both quarrying and road development in Angola. With a fleet of over 150 machines, the updating, servicing and replacement of equipment is an ongoing project, and one in which High Power Equipment Africa(HPE) recently played a major part. With products such as Astra, Hyundai and Soosan showing diversity of the HPE Africa product range, it was easy to see why this deal has paved the way for future business between these two African companies.

Jet Park, April 2008 – Peter Van Rensburg, Sales Representative at HPE Africa clinched a lucrative deal on a number of products that have been delivered to an Angolan company for the development of a limestone quarry. Peter tells us, “As always, understanding the end result was a key factor in supplying Mr. Admar Damiao with the machinery that he required. We were able to meet the full order requirement with our large range of products and attachments, but it was our service delivery that really closed the deal for us.”

After visiting the HPE Africa premises in Johannesburg, Mr. Admar Damiao and Mr. Lino (Technical Advisor to Admar Damiao), were more than satisfied with the capabilities of HPE Africa. The meeting between Alan Grady (MD of HPE Africa), Hein Stander (Service Manager of HPE Africa) and the management of Admar Damiao proved first and foremost that when the size and capabilities of HPE Africa are coupled with the stock holding, cleanliness and size of the stock department and workshop, the resulting offering is one which cant be ignored by any client

“The team at HPE Africa really make all the difference” says Alan Grady, “and by the end of our negotiations, it was our common language of service that finalised the deal. HPE Africa will be visiting Mr. Damiao in Angola to do all the servicing on the equipment and have a stock holding in Angola to ensure speedy delivery on parts – a further commitment of our service.”

The entire process from meeting to quoting to evaluation and delivery has been both smooth and hassle free, and has opened the doors for many more deals between HPE Africa and Admar Damiao.
