New Case 430 series 3 skid steer loaders from CSE Equipment Company have advanced features for improved performance in materials handling applications in demanding industries that include mining, construction, cement, steel, agriculture and landscaping.
“All terrain Case 430 series 3 skid steer loaders have been designed for exceptional driving force,” says Rod Watson divisional director of CSE Equipment’s construction division. “Turbocharged, four cylinders, Tier 3 certified diesel engines, which provide the power and torque required to efficiently cope in the toughest site conditions, also ensure operating efficiency and fuel economy.
“High torque power ratings provide sufficient rim pull to keep the machine moving and recovering in arduous environments, aiding digging and loading performance.”
A gear type hydraulic pump provides sufficient hydraulic power for breakout, lift and attachments. An auxiliary hydraulic circuit is standard on all Case compact track skid steers, working at flow and pressure of the main system, to drive most hydraulic attachments. For more hydraulic demanding tools like cold planers, an optional high flow hydraulic circuit can be specified.
These new Case 430 series 3 skid steer loaders have an operating load of 907 kg, an engine horsepower rating of 61 kW – 82 hp and an operating weight of 3 084 kg. Productivity of this series has been improved by two speed travel - the low range travel speed is 11,3 kph-km/h and the high range speed is 18,3 kph-km/h.
The structural strength of these units is enhanced by a fully welded steel chassis and straddle mounted pins and bushings on the loader arms. A quick coupler is standard with the series 3 range, but optional hydraulic quick couplers are also available.
Radial lift kinetics provides powerful dozing, digging, lifting and loading capabilities. The arm is articulated at its base by a single pin which ensures accuracy in all demanding applications.
Another important feature of this new series is reduced downtime. A lift up panel in the engine canopy and a swing out rear panel provide easy access for daily service checks. The tilting cab allows access in less than a minute to the engine, transmission and hydraulics - this significantly reduces service downtime.
Standard mechanical controls with an H pattern (left handle controls left travel and arm; right handle controls right travel and bucket) are appreciated by experienced drivers. There are also optional ISO hydraulic pilot controls ISO pilot controls (left handle is travel while the right handle controls the arm and bucket).
These fingertip controls are responsive and easy to use, ensuring precise operation and reduced operator fatigue. The instrument panel has been re-positioned to give clearer vision to the bucket, tyres and kerb line for optimum control and increased safety. The view to the rear of the machine has also been improved by the new enlarged rear escape window.
The new ergonomically designed series 3 punched cab has side lights and is available with side windows and optional air conditioning. Wider armrests and safety seatbelts are now standard features. The machine’s hydraulic functions have a safety lockout system to prevent unintentional movement of the arms. Alarm switches and control panels are fitted in the pillars of the cab for convenience and non-obstruction to the visibility of the working area.
Optional attachments for these skid steer loaders include buckets, pallet forks, breakers, augers, sweepers, backhoes, stump grinders, cement mixers, cold planers, trenchers, rollers, slot cutters.
Case construction equipment, available exclusively from CSE Equipment Company in Southern Africa, includes loaders, backhoe loaders, excavators, telescopic handlers and skid steers.
