The Case range of materials handling equipment - which comprises wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, excavators, telescopic handlers and skid steers– has been extended to include new units, designed for enhanced performance, reliability, energy efficiency and operator comfort.

New to the CX B series of excavators are three recently launched models (CX350B, CX470B and CX700B) which have been designed using energy saving technology.case excavator

“Important features of these new excavators include improved fuel efficiency and productivity, enhanced operator comfort and ease of maintenance,” says Rod Watson divisional director of CSE’s construction division. “These environmentally friendly units utilise Case’s electronically controlled common rail Tier III certified 7,8 litre engines that deliver from 202 kW to 345 kW. The efficiency of this range has been achieved by the integration of a new powerful engine management system, combined with advanced hydraulic technology.

“These electronically controlled engines use high pressure common rail fuel injection, with a fan cooler, to perfectly match engine output to hydraulic demand, ensuring high productivity and rapid reaction to servo lever movement.”

The CX350B excavator, which weighs 35,8 T, has a maximum dig depth of 7,3 m. The CX470B unit weighs    47T, with a dig depth of 7,7m and the CX700B unit weighs 69,5 T, with a dig depth of 8,4m.

The CX B range has also been re-designed for easy maintenance and reduced service downtime. Filters are centralised inside a wide access door which allows the technician to carry out regular service work from ground level.

Case has also re-engined three of its E Series wheel loaders (21E, 121E and 321E) to provide power levels between 40,3 kW to 61,1 kW.

These new engines also feature a new cooling system that ensures improved service access, as well as greater air flow across the coolers to increase cooling efficiency, reduce fluid breakdown and extend component life.

The new Case 570M XT Series 3 loader/tool carrier has also been re-engined with new Tier III Case turbocharged diesel technology that provides 8% greater power than the previous series. This new machine features a single lever loader control that has been ergonomically designed for efficient control, as well as an easily accessible push button differential lock and transmission declutch.

These units also feature automatic bucket self-levelling to minimise spillage during loader raise and ride control, available as an option that cushions the loader arms to prevent spillage when full loads are carried over rough terrain.

CSE Equipment Company provides a technical advisory and maintenance service throughout the country and also offers operator and mechanic training.
