SYNTHETIC ACID FOR READY MIX-MARKET AVAILABLE
17 JUNE 2009 - SharkCrete, has been appointed the sole distributor of Environmental Manufacturing Solutions (EMS) products in South Africa and is launching safe solutions to replace the use of hydrochloric acid (pool) currently used in the ready-mix market. “Most ready-mix companies use hydrochloric pool acid to remove concrete from their trucks, drums and extension chutes. It is not only dangerous to the user, but also corrodes the vehicle and damages the environment,” says Bradley Booth, director of SharkCrete. “With EMS synthetic acid, no personal protection gear needs to be worn during use so it’s safe for drivers and truck wash personnel. It also helps preserve the environment, and is an effective alternative to harsh chemicals,” he says.
